Instructions for Acqua Bella's V-series canisters
Installation: Outlet is in the top center of the canister. Depending upon
whether this is a standard or a raised bed model, the inlet is either on the top
side or bottom side of the canister.
Operation: The granular activated carbon in this vessel will adsorb impurities
from the air stream. Removal efficiency is reduced as flow rates are increased.
Contact Acqua Bella Inc. for flow rate information, or check http://acquabella.net
on the web. Some impurities may require less flow then quoted to increase carbon
retention time. As the carbon becomes saturated, some impurities will begin to
pass through. To extend the useful life of the canister it is recommended that
two canisters be plumbed in series. Replace the first canister when influent and
effluent concentrations in the first canister are equal. Move the second
canister to the first position and place the new canister last.
Drain Vessel: Occasionally moisture in the air stream will condense in the
carbon canister. This liquid must be drained before the unit is returned.
(Method 1, standard models): Using a shop vacuum, hold vacuum hose tight to 2"
discharge opening and draw out liquid. (Method 2): Remove 3/4" or 2" bung from
the bottom of the canister and let liquid drain out. Allow to drain 24 hours
before shipping.
Caution: 1) Do not exceed 2 psig (50 inches of water) operating pressure to
prevent storage of energy from the compression of gas. Always remember that
compressed gas can create an explosive release of energy. Never remove the lid
ring or attached piping while the canister is in use. 2) Activated carbon has
been known to react adversely with some contaminants. Test carbon before if
affects are unknown.
Warranty: This product is designed to remove organic impurities from air. Due to
the number of hidden variables in air streams there is no certainty of its
capacity. Seller warrants that the product is free from defects. Many of the
components in this product have been or may have been recycled. Seller will not
be liable for loss or damage to property or any incidental or consequential loss
or expense from property damage due directly or indirectly from the use of the
