Liquid Carbon Canisters       What are the benefits?

A-series for medium pressure applications

Won't bulge, leak or rust apart. The top is made of  heavy gauge domed steel and powder coated for durability. The interior has dual liners and a heavy domed internal bottom. Each has a built in 30 psi pressure relief valve, influent and effluent sample and pressure ports. Inlet and outlet on top. All canisters are pressure tested before shipping. Out performs all other canisters.

Follow all instructions.

A-200 RC840    (Most popular) 10 gpm canister for non potable applications

A-200 RC410    (Foul water? Too much iron or silt?) 10 gpm canister also for non potable applications. This model contains a coarser carbon for less pressure drop and allows more suspended solids to pass through. The carbon has less surface area than the A-200RC840 and provides reduced adsorption capacity. Recommended for turbid water conditions  such as excavation dewatering where contaminates have low solubility such as dissolved heating oil.

A-200 VC1240    10 gpm for potable application

A-200 MTBE        5 gpm, for removal of dissolved MTBE in water. A retention time of no less than 10 minutes is important to assure complete removal of MTBE, so flow rates most be kept low. This canister should be used as a polish to (2) A-200RC840 in series. MTBE carbon will only adsorb MTBE if all other dissolved organics are removed first. This is because other organics will replace MTBE on carbon. The mesh size is very small on this carbon to increase surface area.

A-200CA            Contains clay anthracite media for removal of free floating oil droplets and sheens in water. Commonly used before other carbon vessels. This can alleviate the need for an oil water separator  only if oil amounts are small.

Options

Sample pressure kit    Each kit comes with two (2) 1/4" PVC valves, tees and pressure gauges (0-60 psi). Comes pre-assembled and threads directly into the ports on the A-200 top. Makes it easy to check pressure drop across the carbon and to get convenient influent and effluent water samples.

Low cost, high quality. Designed for open discharge. 12 psi tested. Plastic lining to prevent rust leaks. 2" inlet and outlet on top. Drain bung on bottom.

Follow all instructions.

L-100                    6 gpm canister for non potable applications

L-100CA                Contains clay anthracite media for removal of free floating oil droplets and sheens in water. Commonly used before other carbon vessels. This can alleviate the need for an oil water separator  only if oil amounts are small.

L-200 RC840       10 gpm canister for non potable applications

L-200 RC410        10 gpm canister also for non potable applications. This model contains a coarser carbon for less pressure drop and allows more suspended solids to pass through.  lbs.  virgin activated carbon, mesh size 8x40. Adsorption capacity is less than the L-200RC840.

L-200 VC1240    10 gpm for potable application

L-200 MTBE        6 gpm, for removal of dissolved MTBE in water. This canister should be used as a polish to (2) lL-200RC840 in series. MTBE carbon will only adsorb MTBE if all other dissolved organics are removed first. This is because other organics will replace MTBE on carbon. The mesh size is very small on this carbon to increase surface area. Contact time is important so flow rates must be kept low.

Vapor Carbon Canisters

V-Series for low pressure applications

High quality, low cost air purification canisters.  Available in 4 sizes.

Top inlet/outlet arrangement, or raised bed arrangement with side

inlet/top outlet. Raised bed models offer less pressure drop.

The following cfm values are based upon a medium contact velocity of 60 ft per minute. Increasing flow beyond the recommended values will decrease carbon efficiency. Please contact Acqua Bella to discuss specific recommendations.

V-100                130 cfm, 100 lbs. 2" inlet bottom /outlet on top

V-180                170 cfm, 180 lbs. 2" inlet/out on top

V-180RB            170 cfm, 180 lbs. 2" inlet/outlet raised bed for less pressure drop

V-180-4             170 cfm, 180 lbs. with 4" inlet/outlet

V-300                230 cfm, 300 lbs. with 4" inlet/outlet raised bed

V-375                260 cfm, 375 lbs. with 4" inlet/outlet raised bed

V-500                425 cfm, 500 lbs. with 4" inlet/outlet raised bed

Filters made from DOT (department of transportation) drums are popular due to their ease of mobility. Filter drums can be easily dollied in and out of position.  Canisters are used in open discharge applications where no discharge valves or other restrictions are placed in the flow after the units.

Acqua Bella Inc. has a complete line of canisters for both wet and dry applications. We deliver our canisters with lift gate trucks by customer appointment. Spent carbon canisters are later exchanged for fresh units upon customer's request. Spent non-hazardous carbon is reactivated at approved reactivation facilities.

Key Benefits
