Use this table to size the proper carbon filter for your portable filtration requirements. Then click on the links to proceed. Flow rates listed are estimates based upon a 5 minute retention time. This is the length of time a unit of water will remain in contact with carbon before discharge. More or less contact time may be needed  depending upon the solubility of the contaminates being removed. The greater the solubility, the more retention time required.
