L-200 liquid carbon canisters, for open discharge

Built from heavy duty DOT drums with an HDPE liner.  Inlet and outlet on top. Not recommended for applications  where pressures can build to over 12 psi. All units are down flow oriented and capable of being backwashed. Max operating temp 140oF. Add 60 lbs. to media weight for dry shipping weight on L-200 series, (add 40 lbs. for L-100) include 50 lbs. if drums are shipped on pallets (up to 4 drums per pallet).

bullet2: Reduce flow to increase retention time for MTBE applications, this is important due to the relatively high solubility of MTBE. 

Options

L-200 Connection Kit: Sold pre-assembled. Allows user to easily connect L-200's in series and in parallel. Connections are 1" female cam lock in and out. Allows easy switch of flow direction for occasional backwashing. (note: to prevent clogging, never backwash into another carbon filter in the train. This will only foul the following canister. Instead backwash into an empty drum and allow sediments to settle. Once settled, decant the clear liquid on top and dispose of the slurry below).  Click here for photo of a single train of 2 canisters.

Kits available for other arrangements. See chart below for part numbers. Note the flow rates in a setup are affected by the back pressure on the first canister in a series. The more canisters in series, the slower the flow rate. To avoid loss of flow potential in series, use A-200 canisters.
